I had an excellent stay! The kitchen facilities were convenient for heating my food. I had a flight to Istanbul and needed information about buses to Dalaman airport. Despite the language barrier, Hussain called Mustafa, who was very helpful over the phone and even came back to the hostel to show me the bus route personally. Mustafa ensured I understood everything and advised me to leave early for the airport. They were the best hosts I've met during my travels, and I am very thankful to them.

HZD styles itself as a simple hostel. This is fair comment. However the location is great and prices very reasonable. It is a short walk to the promenade and 50 metres from the big Tuesday Bazaar. The fabric of the hostel is a bit tired but kept very clean. The kitchen is well-equipped for self catering. However it would benefit from the addition of a microwave. Hussein who looks after the place most of the time is very pleasant and helpful, however he speaks only Turkish. Mustapha the owner is pleasant and business-like and speaks good English.

Considering the price, this hostel is great value in a very touristy destination. The place fulfills the important four 'C"s, or cost, convenience of location , comfort & cleanliness. About a 20 minute walk for the intercity bus terminal or otogar. Only 5 mins from the promenade and harbour I stayed in a six bed dorm and there is plenty of space and a security locker for all. Bed was comfortable enough The owner, Mustafa is very obliging and helpful and a great host. Feel free to ask him any questions about his place.

The location is so close to the ruins and port. No issues with wifi. Even though we had to use a translator to communicate the owner was very nice and helpful. I easily checked in at night without a reservation. He also let me store my bags after checkout.

Everything was wonderful!😁 The staff speaks Russian, which pleasantly surprised me. It was very quiet and calm (during my stay there were few other guests in the hostel). I booked a private room. You can cook in the kitchen, there is a kettle. All this is important and necessary to me. And it's at a budget price👍

Very organized, kind and respectful, and thoughtful owner and staff. As a solo woman traveler I felt very safe and Fethiye was safe overall as well.

I didn’t end up getting there until about 4:30 AM. The staff got up and checked me in. The taxi had to call and ask directions. The staff put me in the mens room as no one there yet so I wouldn’t wake other guests. I was transferred at 9 or so when a gentleman came to the room. The location is great and right access from a big market that was opened the day I was there.
